The Graduate School of Education Institute of Sirnak University has updated the thesis writing template used in graduate theses. The purpose of the update is to ensure formal integrity in theses and to standardize the thesis writing processes. Changes Made to the Sirnak University Thesis Writing Template

In the new template, changes have been made to the printing layout, page arrangement, cover and approval pages, and citation rules.

Printing layout: Theses will now be printed double-sided instead of single-sided.

Page position of main headings: All main headings will start on odd-numbered pages.

Inside cover information: It has become mandatory to include the student number on the inside cover page. In cases where there is a co-advisor, it is also mandatory to include the co-advisor's information on the inside cover.

Acceptance and approval page: The institution information of the jury members will be specified on the acceptance and approval page.

English abstract: The English abstract must be prepared as an expanded abstract (2-4 pages long).

Thesis title length: Thesis titles will be organized to be at most three lines according to the format specified in the template. The Institute recommends that students determine their titles in accordance with this rule together with their advisors.

Abstract pages: The practice of indicating the total number of pages on the Turkish and English abstract pages has been discontinued.

Alignment of main headings: Main headings will no longer be centered; they will be written left-aligned.

Citation style: In addition to the author-year system, the IEEE numbered citation style can also be used. The two styles cannot be used together; only one system will be preferred throughout the thesis.

Curriculum vitae: The requirement to specify email address on the curriculum vitae page has been removed.
