Şırnak University Personnel Department has published two separate announcements for the recruitment of professors, associate professors, and doctoral faculty members as well as instructors for various units of the university. Within the scope of academic staff recruitment at Şırnak University, 3 professors, 4 associate professors, and 7 doctoral faculty members along with 7 instructors positions have been announced. Instructor Positions at Şırnak University

All instructor positions are teaching instructor positions and are in the 6th degree, with one person to be hired for each.

One instructor will be hired for the Opticianry (2026/ÖE01) and Medical Laboratory Techniques (2026/ÖE02) programs in the Department of Medical Services and Techniques at the Vocational School of Health Services. For these positions, an ALES SCORE of 70 is required, and there is no foreign language requirement.

Two instructors will be hired for the Furniture and Decoration Program (2026/ÖE03, 2026/ÖE04) in the Department of Materials and Material Processing Technologies at Cizre Vocational School, and two instructors for the Climate Control and Refrigeration Technologies Program (2026/ÖE05, 2026/ÖE06) in the Department of Electricity and Energy. For these positions, an ALES SCORE of 70 is required, and there is no foreign language requirement.

One instructor will be hired for the Quran Recitation and Recitation Science Main Science Branch (2026/ÖE07) in the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences at the Faculty of Theology. For this position, an ALES VERBAL SCORE of 70 and YDS or equivalent 50 score is required.

Qualifications Required for Instructor Positions

• 2026/ÖE01 (Opticianry): Must be a graduate in Physics, have completed a master's and doctorate in the field of physics, have conducted research on thin film solar cells, and have participated in TÜBİTAK supported projects.
• 2026/ÖE02 (Medical Laboratory Techniques): Must have completed a master's and doctorate in the field of biochemistry, and have at least 5 years of experience in a biochemistry laboratory, documented.
• 2026/ÖE03 (Furniture and Decoration): Must have completed undergraduate and master's education with a thesis in the Department of Furniture and Decoration Education, and have a doctorate in the field of Woodworking Industrial Engineering, and have taught at higher education institutions for at least 2 semesters.
• 2026/ÖE04 (Furniture and Decoration): Must have completed undergraduate education in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Furniture and Decoration Teaching, Furniture and Decoration Education, or Woodworking Industrial Engineering, and have completed a master's degree with a thesis in the relevant field.
• 2026/ÖE05 (Climate Control and Refrigeration Technologies): Must have completed undergraduate education in the Department of Energy Systems Engineering, have completed a master's degree with a thesis in the field of Energy Science and Technologies, and hold a Climate Control and Refrigeration Education Certificate.
• 2026/ÖE06 (Climate Control and Refrigeration Technologies): Must have completed undergraduate education in the Department of Energy Systems Engineering and have completed a master's degree with a thesis in the field of Energy Science and Technologies.
• 2026/ÖE07 (Quran Recitation and Recitation Science): Must be a graduate of the Faculty of Theology, have completed a doctorate in the field of Basic Islamic Sciences, and have at least three years of professional experience in Quran education.

Application Conditions for Instructors

Instructor candidates must meet the conditions specified in Article 48 of the 657 State Civil Servants Law. Candidates must have obtained at least 70 points in the relevant field from the ALES exam. ALES results are valid for five years from the date they are announced.

Candidates must have obtained at least 50 points or its equivalent from a centrally accepted foreign language exam by YÖK. There is no foreign language requirement for instructor positions in vocational schools. Candidates applying for the instructor position must hold at least a master's degree with a thesis or have graduated from programs that confer both bachelor's and master's degrees.

Candidates wishing to benefit from the exemption from the central exam will have their ALES score considered as 70 in the preliminary and final evaluation. Based on the preliminary evaluation results, candidates up to ten times the number of announced positions will be allowed to take the written exam.

Application Conditions and Required Documents for Faculty Members

Faculty member candidates must meet the general conditions specified in Article 48 of the 657 State Civil Servants Law and the conditions stated in the Regulations on Promotion and Appointment Criteria for Faculty Members at Şırnak University. Those who hold the titles of professor and associate professor or are currently employed in those positions cannot apply for the doctoral faculty member position, and those who hold the title of professor or are currently employed in that position cannot apply for the associate professor position.

For candidates applying for professor, associate professor, and doctoral faculty member positions, a letter of application, 2 photographs, a photocopy of the identity card, e-Government outputs of undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate (for associate professor and professor candidates, documentation of associate professorship), military service certificate for male candidates, criminal record, CV in YÖK format, and a list of works are required, along with a service certificate for those being transferred or reappointed. Additionally, associate professor and doctoral faculty member candidates are required to submit a foreign language exam result document.

The Scientific Work Score List and a file consisting of scientific works must be submitted electronically (flash drive) as 6 copies for professor candidates and 4 copies for associate professor and doctoral faculty member candidates. Professor and associate professor candidates will submit their applications to the Personnel Department, while doctoral faculty member candidates will apply to the unit where the announced position is located.
