TÜBİTAK 1812 BİGG WORLD Program Support Areas

The BİGG WORLD Program supports entrepreneur candidates who develop innovative business ideas in the fields of smart transportation, smart manufacturing systems, energy and clean technologies, communication and digital transformation, health and well-being, sustainable agriculture and nutrition. Between 2018-2026, 15 entrepreneurial teams received a total of 4.9 million TL TÜBİTAK support and became companies under the Düzce Technopark BİGG WORLD Program.

Free Training and Mentorship Support

The first phase of the program, the Acceleration Program, is conducted in collaboration with ITU Core BİGG and BİGG WORLD, in partnership with ARI Technokent Project Development Planning Inc. and Düzce Technopark Inc.. In this phase, entrepreneur candidates are offered free face-to-face and online training, one-on-one mentorship, and business clinic services to validate their business ideas commercially and transform them into investment-ready business plans. The activities of the first phase are carried out in collaboration with Düzce Technopark Capsule Incubation Center, ITU Core, TOGG, and Plug and Play.

TÜBİTAK 1812 BİGG WORLD Investment Support Amount

Entrepreneurs who are eligible to receive the Seal of Excellence are offered two types of support in accordance with the specified investment conditions:

• 1,350,000 TL pre-seed investment support, in exchange for 3% equity
• Up to 2,250,000 TL investment support, in exchange for 5% equity for eligible ventures operating in the clean technologies field

The program consists of three phases: Acceleration (Phase 1), Pre-Seed Investment (Phase 2), and Seed Investment (Phase 3).

TÜBİTAK 1812 BİGG WORLD Application Conditions

According to the announcement, the following individuals can apply:

• Students enrolled in associate, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs
• Individuals who have graduated from associate, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs
• Individuals who are not part of the partnership structure of any capital company or individual business as of the date they are accepted into the program (shareholdings in publicly traded companies and crowdfunding shares are exceptions to this condition)
• Individuals who have not received support under the Ministry of Industry and Technology Technological Entrepreneurship Capital Support or the second phase of the TÜBİTAK 1512 or 1812 programs
