Pedagogical Formation Training Applications Have Started

Istanbul Commerce University Opens Formation Applications

Istanbul Commerce University has started accepting applications from undergraduate students for the 2026-2027 academic year fall semester Pedagogical Formation Training.

Applications can be made between September 7-18, 2026. Students studying in departments that can receive pedagogical formation training and in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of undergraduate programs can apply.

Application and Registration Process

During the registration process, students must first select the relevant course and then obtain advisor approval. The registration process will be completed with the payment of the tuition fee in the final stage.

The courses to be taken within the scope of Pedagogical Formation Training will be charged per ECTS.

Formation Fee 40 Thousand TL

The total fee for the pedagogical formation program in the fall semester of 2026-2027 has been announced as 40,000 TL.

Pricing is calculated based on the total ECTS value of the courses in the program, with 1,000 TL per ECTS as the basis.

Courses to be Offered in the Fall Semester

In the fall semester, courses such as Introduction to Education, Principles and Methods of Teaching, Classroom Management, Special Teaching Methods, and Teaching Practice will be offered.

The Teaching Practice course will have prerequisites. 2nd and 3rd-year students must have successfully completed eight theoretical courses to be able to choose this course. Students in the 4th year who are registering for formation for the first time in the fall semester can select the Teaching Practice course in the spring semester after successfully completing at least four theoretical courses.

General Structure of the Formation Program

It is anticipated that pedagogical formation training will be taken as part of university elective courses starting from the 2nd year during formal education.

A total of 9 courses, including 8 theoretical and 1 practical, must be completed in the program. There is a requirement to complete a total of 24-30 ECTS for graduation.

Students who successfully complete the program will have information on their diplomas indicating that they have received formation.
