Announced Recruitment Notices for Instructors, Faculty Members, and İŞKUR Youth Program Applications

The Rectorate of Dokuz Eylul University has published three separate announcements regarding the recruitment of instructors, faculty members, and applications for the İŞKUR Youth Program. The recruitment of instructors will be carried out in accordance with the relevant articles of Law No. 2547 and the provisions of the "Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding Central Exams and Entrance Exams to be Applied for Appointments to Academic Staff Positions Other than Faculty Members" published in the Official Gazette dated 09.11.2018. Faculty member recruitment will be conducted according to the Higher Education Law No. 2547 for the main science branches. In both announcements, the application start date is set as 26.10.2026 and the application deadline as 10.11.2026. Applications for the İŞKUR Youth Program will be accepted between 26-30 October 2026 through the website https://guc.iskur.gov.tr.

Application Dates and Calendar for Instructor Recruitment

The calendar for instructor recruitment is determined as follows: the application start date is 26.10.2026, the application deadline is 10.11.2026, the preliminary evaluation announcement date is 18.11.2026, the entrance exam date is 23.11.2026, and the results announcement date is 26.11.2026. Results will be published on www.deu.edu.tr. Candidates wishing to apply must apply to the relevant unit between the specified application start date and the application deadline.

General and Special Conditions for Instructor Recruitment

Candidates must meet the conditions specified in Article 48 of the State Civil Servants Law No. 657. They must have at least 70 points from ALES, and at least 50 points from a central foreign language exam accepted by the Higher Education Council or an equivalent exam. For those requesting exemption from the central exam, the ALES score is accepted as 70 in the preliminary and final evaluation stages.

As a special condition, candidates applying for the instructor position must have at least a thesis master's degree or graduate from programs that provide both bachelor's and master's degrees. Candidates applying for instructor positions in vocational schools in the fields determined by the Higher Education Council must have at least a thesis master's degree or, if they are bachelor's degree holders, must have at least two years of experience in their field, documented.

Exemption in Instructor Recruitment

Those who have completed a doctorate or specialization in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine, and those who will be appointed in the fields determined by the Higher Education Council for vocational schools, and those who have worked or are working in academic staff positions in higher education institutions are not required to meet the central exam condition.

In applications for academic staff positions other than instructor positions specified in the fourth paragraph of Article 6 of the regulation, the foreign language requirement is not sought.

Documents Required for Instructor Application

The required documents for the application include a petition, CV, diploma (all documents with QR codes obtained from e-Government are valid), transcript, and a document indicating the score obtained from the central foreign language exam accepted by the Higher Education Council or an equivalent foreign language exam, along with the ALES document.

Applications can be made in person or by mail. Delays in mail are not taken into account. It is required that diplomas obtained from foreign countries are approved for equivalence. Applications made over the internet are not accepted. In applications for the announced positions related to the specified vocational school program, the ALES (SAY) score type will be used.

Instructor Positions

One instructor (practical unit) position has been announced in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, and Anesthesiology and Reanimation in the Faculty of Medicine. One instructor (teaching) position has been opened in the Department of Alternative Energy Sources Technology at Bergama Vocational School, Laboratory and Veterinary Health at Kiraz Vocational School, and Anesthesia and Foreign Languages at the Vocational School of Health Services. Application Conditions and Process for Faculty Member Recruitment

Applications for faculty members will be made in accordance with the relevant articles of Law No. 2547 and the Regulation on Promotion and Appointment of Faculty Members, and the Principles and Implementation Principles for Promotion and Appointment of Faculty Members of Dokuz Eylul University approved by the Interuniversity Board of Higher Education. Candidates must meet the conditions specified in Article 48 of the State Civil Servants Law No. 657.

Applications for faculty member positions at the university will be accepted electronically through the website https://deabs.deu.edu.tr. The forms to be prepared for applications can be found on the specified web address.

Candidates must upload a recent photo taken within the last six months, their T.C. identity card, diplomas obtained through e-Government for bachelor's, master's, doctoral degrees, graduation certificates, associate professor certificate, specialization certificate, foreign language exam result document, service certificate, CV, and publication list, along with their scientific works to https://deabs.deu.edu.tr.

Those working in any public institution must first resign from their workplaces and add the “HİTAP Service Certificate” obtained through e-Government to their applications. The service certificate is valid for candidates applying from outside the university. All documents obtained from e-Government with QR codes are considered valid. It is required that diplomas obtained from foreign countries are approved for equivalence by the Higher Education Council or the Interuniversity Council. Candidates applying for the professor position must indicate their main research work in their petitions.

After the required documents for the application are uploaded through DEABS (Dokuz Eylul University Academic Application System), the scanned version of the application petition with a wet signature must be uploaded. The petition uploaded to the system must be delivered to the Rectorate address for professor and associate professor positions by the end of the application period, and to the relevant unit address for the doctor faculty member position.

Draft applications that are not completed through the system will not be accepted, and the ecological completion is entirely the candidate's responsibility. The university is not responsible for applications left in draft status and incomplete submissions.

Applications that do not meet the specified conditions in the announcement or have missing information/documents are not accepted. Applications made in person or by mail are not accepted. The application period is 15 days from the date the announcement is published in the Official Gazette.

Faculty Member Positions

A professor position has been announced in the Department of Preschool Education at Buca Faculty of Education, and associate professor positions have been announced in the Departments of Restorative Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry and Arabic Language and Rhetoric at the Faculty of Theology. In the Faculty of Medicine, professor positions have been opened in the Departments of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Diseases, Internal Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, Eye Diseases, and Anesthesiology and Reanimation; an associate professor position in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation; and doctor faculty member positions in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatric Surgery. İŞKUR Youth Program Applications

İŞKUR Youth Program applications will be made between 26-30 October 2026 through the website https://guc.iskur.gov.tr. After students who meet the application conditions complete their applications through the system, a lottery draw will be held in the presence of a notary on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
