The Rectorate of Giresun University will recruit faculty members in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, Article 48 of the State Civil Servants Law No. 657, the Regulation on Promotion and Appointment of Faculty Members, and the Giresun University Regulation on Promotion and Appointment of Faculty Members. The announcement was published in the Official Gazette dated October 9, 2026 and numbered 33395. Applications started on October 9, 2026 and will end on October 23, 2026. Candidates will apply in person to the Personnel Department.

Application Requirements for Faculty Positions at Giresun University

Candidates applying for faculty positions must meet the minimum conditions specified in Articles 24 and 26 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547. Application files will be prepared according to the Giresun University Regulation on Promotion and Appointment of Faculty Members. Candidates are required to prepare 1 physical file that includes their scientific publications, conference and seminar presentations, citations, artworks, performances, and related documents, as well as their educational activities, ongoing and completed doctoral, proficiency in art, or master's studies, and contributions to the university. This file must be personally delivered to the Personnel Department along with 6 USB drives containing the same information.

Required Documents for Associate Professor Position

Candidates applying for the associate professor position will attach their CV, 2 photographs, a photocopy of their ID, bachelor's and master's diplomas, doctoral certificate, and associate professorship certificate to the application form, which specifies the unit, department, and main field of research. The APPENDIX-1 Basic Fields Table, APPENDIX-2 General Criteria Table, and Candidate Declaration Form filled out in accordance with the valid regulations for associate professors and doctoral faculty members will also be included in the application.

A 1 physical file covering scientific work and publications must be delivered in person to the Personnel Department along with 4 USB drives containing the same information. Professors cannot apply for the associate professor position.
